Impressions of Capitol Reef
I am fortunate to live next to Capitol Reef National Park - a place I love dearly and that offers an endless array of visual impressions. My favorite image of the park, made by photographer Minor White, is an abstract of multihued jagged rock. I don't know where it is, nor do I care, but the impression it made on me early in my artistic endeavors drove me to explore the landscape more deliberately and to become more aware of its unique graphic qualities.
