Desert Waters
Deserts are defined by both the absence and presence of water. Water is the great sculptor of deserts; shaping, eroding, cutting, smoothing and polishing the denuded terrain. The scarcity of water forces life to assert itself more profoundly in the desert than anywhere else, and the abundance of it may exact violent and devastating floods.
