Congrats on the new layout. Looks really nice! Nicely streamlined, fast to load…and of course fantastic photography.
I like it, its great, had trouble reading the links on the top.
Looking again, its fine when I lean in close to the monitor – the main problem is glare at my end.
It really is great though.
“Ghost” is a knockout, Guy.
wow, amazing shot here…lots of texture and great comp….your website update looks great as well.
Your revamped website is wonderful!
You did a superb job with it, Guy. Fast and intuitive.
Couple of minor errors in the ‘About Guy’ page:
“The photographic artist's….”
“..photographic image with one's personal thoughts…”
Just trying to help.
Again, I think you did a masterful job with your new and (greatly) improved site.
I really like the layout. Fast, easy to negotiate, and great colors to let the images shine. Nice.
Thanks for the great comments and suggestions. All fixes should now be in place. I appreciate everyone’s help.
Keep ‘em coming if you encounter other issues.
Guy
“Keep ‘em coming if you encounter other issues.”
OK, although I feel kinda nitpicky. Here goes…
In ‘Workshops & Services’:
“It is a lanscape photographer’s paradise.” landscape
In ‘About Guy’:
“..photography is the most restrictive of the visual arts but at the same time also has the potential…”
May be better worded as
“”..photography is the most restrictive of the visual arts, yet at the same time also has the potential…”
And may you and yours have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving!
New website looks great.
I know what a tremendous undertaking this is Guy as I am redesigning mine as well. I like the navigation, seems easy enough. The header design is quite nice. I appreciate the simple tones of the overall design.
I did find the font and text color a bit harder to read underneath the larger versions of each image. I assume you were going for a more personal, hand-written style to the field notes – which is quite cool. It was just a little harder on my eyes moving from image to image and reading it. The insight into each image is wonderful.
The images are sized nicely, and always jump off the screen at me. Always impressed with your work.
Hey Guy
I had a few notes made the other day, but deleted them, as I didn’t want to intrude. I hadn’t seen this post though.
The main point that stood out to me is a navigation back to the gallery from a large image – I generally like to see a link back to the thumbnails.
I can’t remember the other stuff – minutia mainly.
The images rock.
Cheers
Carl
Guy,
The new layout is really nice. I liked you site before and you have improved on it. I like especially your gallery layouts.
I hope it works well for you!
