Your comment about the aspens really echo with me...I feel a profound sadness at the loss of aspens to the blight, and feel fortunate to have seen them lush and full in previous years. She and I have a much better relationship now, and I often catch her with that "I told you so" look. Sorry to hear about the allergies, I suffer from some form of them as well.
