Week 1 of 10: Natural Abstracts Contest Winner

| May 1, 2011

My sincere thanks to everyone who submitted their work for Week 1 of the 10 Weeks of Creativity Contest. I received over 100 entries, all of them superb! Alas, I had to pick just one winner and he is… drum roll… Justin Marx!

Justin’s winning image:

For his winning entry, Justin will receive an original signed print, a free 1-year membership to Nature Photographer’s Network, and a $20 gift certificate from Outdoor Photo Gear. Justin will also be entered into the final round for a chance to win a signed copy of my book Exposures, an F-Stop backpack, and a $100 gift certificate towards lens rental from BorrowLenses.com.

Don’t miss Week 2’s theme: Dominant Color

Below is a random sampling of finalists. You can see it was a tough choice.
