Schedule Personal Time With Me

If you wish to speak with me in person, one-on-one or with 1-2 additional friends, I am available on a limited basis for personal conversation and/or consultation via Zoom. Please read the information on this page fully and carefully before submitting the form to make sure I am able to meet your expectations.

I am generally available to discuss anything relating to the topics I write about in my books and essays: creativity, art, philosophy, nature, life, etc. If you are not familiar with my writings, I recommend reading at least some of it before deciding whether to schedule time with me, so you have a better idea of my work, teachings, ethics, and philosophy, and what I may (or may not) be able to help you with.

Once you submit the form below, I will contact you to schedule a time and work out any additional details.

Format

Meetings will be conducted via Zoom. I will send you an invitation once we agree on a time and I receive your payment.

Topics and Limitations

I have been a photographer and student of photography for 40 years. I am also an avid naturalist, hiker, and writer with a broad range of philosophical and scientific interests. I’m happy to discuss just about anything related to these areas. I’m also an empathetic person who has lived a rich and interesting life. If you don’t want to limit our conversation to specific topics, I am happy to listen and offer whatever opinions or ideas I may have. Please note that despite my interest in psychology, I am not a therapist and can’t guarantee that my advice or opinions will be helpful to you.

Please read and consider these limitations:

• If you wish, I am happy to spend time looking at your work and offering general feedback. However, I am not interested in offering direct critique.

• I am happy to engage in conversation, but I am not interested in using this time as a teaching session or as a private workshop.

• I am not interested in discussing or demonstrating technical aspects of photography or processing.

• I am not an expert on the business aspects of photography. I know very little about marketing or sales.

• I will not help you plan trips or share information about specific locations.

Payments and Refunds

• I am available for either one-hour to two-hour sessions at a rate of $100/hour.

• All payments are due in full no later than 48 hours before the scheduled meeting time. Failure to pay will result in cancellation.

• If, for whatever reason, I am unable to make the scheduled time, you will receive a full refund.

• If you decide to cancel 48 hours or more before the scheduled time, you will receive a 50% refund.

• If you decide to cancel less than 48 hours before the scheduled time, no refund will be given.
